Hockey Pool is a small, independently-run project operated by Appdromeda Technologies Inc. (“we,” “us”). It exists to help friends run their own fantasy hockey pool without a spreadsheet. This page is a plain-language description of what you're agreeing to by using it, not a substitute for a lawyer if that's ever something you need.
You're responsible for the account you create and the password you set for it. Don't share your login with someone else, and let us know if you think your account has been accessed by someone who shouldn't have it.
A pool's commissioner sets its own rules (scoring, roster size, settlement timing). We just run the software that tracks it. The “side bets” feature lets pool members log informal wagers with each other for their own reference — Hockey Pool never collects, holds, moves, or has any involvement with real money. Any money that changes hands between pool members over a side bet, pool dues, or a payout happens entirely between them, off this platform, at their own arrangement and their own risk. We aren't a party to it and don't guarantee anyone will honor it.
Team names and anything else you type into a pool are your own words. Keep it something you'd be fine with the other people in your pool seeing — we can remove content or suspend an account that's abusive, illegal, or otherwise not okay.
Player and game stats come from public NHL data sources. We do our best to keep them accurate and current, but we don't guarantee it — if a pool's standings ever need to be corrected because of a stats error, that's between the commissioner and their pool.
This is a hobby-scale project, not a funded company with an uptime commitment. We do our best to keep it running and your data intact, but it's provided as-is, and it's possible (though we'd try to give notice) that it changes significantly or shuts down someday.
